Words are magical. That’s why the assembly of words is called spelling. You are casting spells with the words you use. Are you using white magic or black magic?
Learning the power of the words I use changed my life! I started to manifest positive outcomes easily and effortlessly. I also started to attract a lot more positive energy into my life. One spell could change your life forever. Imagine this . . . A 6-year-old in first grade raises her hand to answer a question. She’s convinced she’s got the right answer. The teacher calls on her, but her answer is dead wrong! The whole class laughs at her and calls her stupid, and she accepts it. She starts to believe she is stupid and decides to never answer a question again. In fact, she starts to close herself off and stops sharing her answers and opinions altogether! She starts to think she isn’t good enough and goes through life with the belief that she’s stupid and can’t do many things.
The class put a spell on her by using their words. A negative spell that could affect that little girl for her whole life! That’s because our word is the most important thing we have on this earth (and I don’t just mean the promises that you make). Have you noticed the difference in people who use their words in a positive manner over negative? You’re probably noticing the people that cast positive “spells” are happier, and they’re surrounded by a lot more positivity.
We can change the whole world with our word! One man started a whole world war by casting negative spells of fear. With his word, Hitler was able to convince many to commit atrocious acts and turned the whole world against one another. On the flip side of the coin, Gandhi was able to empower a whole country to end British rule in India with his word. They both chose to use their words differently and cast polar opposite spells on the world.
A young man was struggling in high school and didn’t even consider college. His mother pleaded with him to take the SAT anyway. Just for her, he did and ended up with a 1480/1600. Immediately, his mother thought he had cheated, and he told her that was what he intended to do, but the seats were too far apart. At that point, the young man started to believe he was smart. He started to believe it so much so that he began attending class and actually trying his best. He stopped hanging around his old crowd and ended up graduating, and eventually getting into an Ivy League college. Later, he went on to become a successful magazine entrepreneur. 12 years after the SAT he received a letter in the mail, he was one of 13 people that was sent the wrong SAT score. His actual score was 740.
His whole life changed because he started telling himself he was smart. He cast a positive spell on himself.
It’s also important to realize we frequently use our words on ourselves. I’m not perfect, I have struggled with this too. I used to be very tough on myself with the mindset of “improving myself,” but it wasn’t until I chose to change the words I used on myself, change the way I spoke to myself, that I dramatically improved my life, both personally and professionally. For example, any time I made a mistake, I would call myself stupid and tell myself I wasn’t good enough and that I couldn’t do anything right. I thought speaking to myself that way would make me better. Instead, the negative spell grew and grew inside of me and rather than making good choices, I was always second guessing myself. I lost confidence in my ability to trust myself to make decisions. Have you ever been so hard on yourself that you started losing confidence in yourself, losing trust in yourself, sending yourself into a downward spiral? That's because our words/spells that we use on ourselves are the strongest, meaning when you say it you automatically believe it and accept it as fact.
A few questions to ask yourself:
What spells have been cast on you that have limited you in your life?
What spells do you cast on yourself, are they more positive or negative?
What spells do you cast on others? Are you improving the world, are you casting positive spells on the world or negative spells?
It’s our responsibility to be impeccable with our words and impeccable, based on the Latin translation, means without sin. So, it is our responsibility to use our words in a positive manner on ourselves and on others.
